Much of the content of this almanac consists of ads for Herrick's Family Medicines and paragraphs on diseases with the appropriate Herrick's remedies. Even the rhymes and anecdotes promote the medicines. For example, in "The Love Songs of the Japs", the Japanese girl with a headache and dyspepsia pines for the arrival of her lover to cure her, while the sensible American girl asks for Herrick's Liver Pills. Very good .
