The wraps are bumped & lightly soiled with some reddish brown stains. The tape is detached & frayed at the head & tail of the spine. 99 mechanically reproduced pages printed on one side only. Black-and-white illustrations by Herb Kruckman. A few front & rear leaves are bumped & there are a few black marks caused by the printing process. Good.

Seventh printing. The editor notes that most of the stories are by Sholem Aleichom and Isaac Leib Peretz, "two of the greatest writers of modern Yiddish literature". The stories are translated by Benjamin Efron and others. Good .
