The wraps are lightly soiled with staining to the rear wrap. 16 pages. 16 black-and-white textual illustrations with a black-and-white pictorial ad on the inside front wrap. The illustration on page 16 is signed "Morehen". There is staining to the rear inside wrap & to pages 15 & 16 with a small stain to the inner margin of the inside front wrap. Despite its flaws, a very good copy of a fragile book.

On the inside front wrap is a pictorial ad for Hires' Improved Root Beer . There are verses from "an enthusiastic customer" titled "The Secret of Good Health" on the rear wrap. The contents consist of brief passages of verse and prose for children, each with an illustration. On the front wrap is printed: "Compliments of Geo. E. Shiels..New York..Sole Proprietor of Lelia Pith. Sybil's Secret, the only harmless rouge known.. Very good .
