Some other pages a bit rippled. Not quite as bad as it sounds, but a flaw, nonetheless. Some very light soiling and shelf wear to the boards. Books otherwise unmarked and tight: in about good to good plus condition. Wants dust jacket. Remember: when price-checking this book, many relatively inexpensive copies will be offered with the claim that the book is a first edition, published in 1934 when, in fact, the copy was actually published later. (Hint: any edition published in a tan binding is a reprint). Without the help of a thorough Burroughs' bibliography, such as Heins or Zeuschner, it is unfortunately easy for an uninformed bookseller to misdescribe this book. If in doubt - ask the dealer which bibliography was used to identify the book as a first edition. Cheaper is not always better. First published in 1934, this is the 1948 reprint with the J.
