Description: Venetia, Italy, Sybilla, per Michele Tramezzino. 1547. Vellum, 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Book, Show moderate wear and age for such an old book, with some degradation/tearing to endpapers due to flexion of the vellum leather covers. Still, the binding is holding up well at the hinges and joints. A minor dew line affects the first section of the book, and there is mild foxing in places. Five pages have quite minor old notation lines in pale red, and there is a previous owner name to the endpaper. The translation is in Italian. Title and date hand noted in old pen to the spine. Images available upon request. Apparently, this is the first edition in Italian translation, according to a bookseller in Italy, though I have not been able to verify that any further. Good.
