Manuscript. 198 lvs.Not a printed copy could be traced. - No Bruijnink is known at the Kweekschool voor de Zeevaart in Amsterdam. There is also no captain Bruijnink among the Dutch merchant captains. This Bruijnink could of course never have reached the rank of captain. He may have been a merchant navigator. Another possibility is that he was a teacher at a school that taught maths, etc., who also taught navigation. The latter was more common in schools in coastal towns.
