XV,(1),582 pp. First edition. - John Campbell (1766-1840), Scottish missionary and explorer, arrived at the Cape in 1812. He inspected the settlements of the London Missionary Society and returned to England with his reports of the colony and its hinterland in 1814. Campbell provides a great deal of information in the appendix.
