It is a comprehensive study of the Pacific Ocean, including hydrology, meteorology, biology, geomophology, topography, animal, fish and bird species habitats and migration paths, maps of major cities and countries on the Pacific. The maps are wonderfully detailed. A spectacular, and very rare, publication. Dark blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and embossed design on front cover. gilt lettering and design on spine. Book has a little bumping of the corners. no ownership marks, tight binding, clean, bright pages. The dust jacket has some toning and light wear of edges. An extremely nice copy.
