Neat signatures of three previous owners to the front free endpaper, and the engraved heraldic bookplate of James Charles Herbert Crosland, motto 'Ultra Pergere', to the front pastedown. [Crosland's signature appears also in the upper blank margins of the Title and Index leaves.] Minor rubs to cloth edges and corners and some light foxing to prelims, otherwise very good, in the original blind-ruled, maroon cloth-covered boards/gilt titles.
