Author: HAMMOND & CO. Title: Electric Lighting: Its Present Position and Future Prospects. With Original Illustrations

Paper Covers, 8vo. 140mm x 215mm tall (5.5" x 8.5" approx.). 98pp, with black-printed head & tail-pieces and decorated capitals, each page being framed in red, with 25 text figures many of which are multi-image. Red-printed addendum slip loosely inserted. Original thin grey paper covers/black title & rulings lacking spine and somewhat edge-chipped, but internally very good, the whole having been removed apparently from a larger volume presumably containing several other contemporary books oand/or catalogues. Published only seven years after the opening by Joseph Swan, in 1881, of Benwell Lamps, the world’s first light bulb factory. Fair.
