Hardnack, 250mm x 310mm tall (10" x 12.25" approx.). 110 [un-numbered] pages, including prelims and fromtispiece, and with a total of 108 coloured illustrations, 3 silhouette vignettes and a coloured vignette to titlepage, all by Ruth Eger, as is the illustration of a 'pirate' boat laid-down on the front board, and illustrated endpapers by "M.W.". Juvenile mishandling tears-without-loss, all but one restricted to the lower blank leaf margins, neatly repaired; two small finger-tip sized lower leaf corners torn, and some light rubs to the edges and corners of the [original] maroon cloth-covered boards. All illustrations present and in good order and no scribbles or colourings anywhere. Photos available on request.
