Vol. 1 and 2, publication date, 1948 - vol 2 has two round discoloration marks on the outer boards; Vol 3 pub date 1951; Vol 4 pub date 1951, front hinge slightly cracked. Each has Scribner's A and Scribner's colophon on the copyright pages. Each volume illustrated with reproductions of original documents, portraits, maps and plans. Good .
