In 1842 Dickens, with his wife and her maid, went to America for 4 1/2 months. In Washington he had a private meeting with President Tyler; he visited all types of public insititutions. This book is an account of his travels in America which originally came out in two volumes. Business card with the name "A. T. Brust, Jr", Public Relations Manager, Fine Papers Division, Westaco inside the book. Good with no dust jacket .
