Initials in ink on half-title. **** The author, an Irish patriot born in Liverpool, was playwright, poet, translator, biographer ("Michael Collins and the making of a new Ireland"), and member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood. This volume contains poems composed in the years 1910-12, others composed whilst imprisoned in Portland (1916), Lewes (1917), Belfast (1918) and Mountjoy (1918 and 1919).
