Modern decorative paper-covered boards; spine sunned; tab visible in outer margin of title. **** Although the title-page has the imprint "Hagae-Comitis: typis Hillebrandi à Wouw, 1663", this is an 18th-century impression which appears in a collections of treaties concluded by the States General of the United Provinces of the Netherlands. The treaty, signed in August 1661, which ended Dutch-Portuguese mercantile conflict and resulted in the Portuguese gaining control in South America (Dutch Brazil) and in Africa (Angola and S‹o Tomé) and in the Dutch gaining control in the Far East and Asia. Dutch and Portuguese versions of the treaty were also issued. STC Netherlands, 170317498.
