Text block binding is sound, inside covers do not have pasted down end-papers so insides of board showing. Front inside cover has two pasted labels from Ampleforth Abbey Library. End-papers are darkened and previous owner's name is at the front and small inked number. Prelims show a water-stain that is not visible in the main text. page 65 has a mark from a deposit in the margin, pages are a little darkened but are otherwise clean, text and decorations (headers, footers and capitals) are clear.
