Two volumes, complete; duodecimo; pp; I; 431; II; 420; engraved frontispiece portrait; three quarter brown calf and marbled paper covered boards, marbled edges, and endpapers; spines have raised bands and red and black title tiles lettered in gilt; Spines are a bit dry but supple; there is minor edge wear, internally the book blocks are very good and complete, a nice set. Life of the Author by John Mitford precedes the text of Gulliver in Vol. I. Publisher claims that this is the "Only Complete American Edition". It appears to be quite scarce in today's market. Very good .
