Original color lithograph by Carl Hassmann, the cover measures 10" x 13.75"; We have used the image from the Library of Congress, our piece does not have the library stamps pictured on that copy. Illustration shows cupid on horseback, shooting two handguns into the air outside the North Portico of the White House, on the occasion of the wedding of Alice Lee Roosevelt, President Theodore Roosevelt's daughter, and Nicholas Longworth. Puck was the first successful humor magazine in the United States of colorful cartoons, caricatures and political satire of the issues of the day. It was published from 1871 until 1918. Very good, a bright image .
