Narrow quarto; unpaginated, twenty-one leaves printed on rectos only comprising twenty-three chapters; original printed beige ribbon tied paper wrappers. TR had a long and bitter fight with the Railroads over freight rates and their onerous effect on the farmer, small businessman, and ultimately the consumer. He was assailed as King Theodore. This satirical piece in biblical language is derivative of that fight. later printings differ in chapter lengths and the following appears in the trade editions, "The Book of Ted is a satirical summary - more or less biblical, but not bilious - of recent large events in the financial world, especially those bearing directly on the railroad problem". This format is unrecorded. Rare. Very good .
