Clean hardback bound in full brown leather with gilt titles on red spine panel, 5 raised spine bands with elaborate gilt decoration, gilt dentelles, front hinge cracked but holding, binding quite worn at corners, two names on title page (Mrs Forsythe; John Owens), pages uniformly age-toned, text block clean, no other marks inscriptions. iv + 336 pages. Nice copy of the first printing, but we only have volume 2, unfortunately - hence price. Fair.
