Author was a local historian of some note, he helped to found the Onslow Historical Society in 1968 and served as president of the Early Settlers and Historical Association of Wellington. He was also a book seller and owned a publishing firm. CONDITION Tan bds with bright Gilt title, eps have plan of Wellington in 1841, frontis is a fold out reproduction of painting of Wellington in panorama 1842, pp vii 180 with 11 illus.
