Adlum's memoirs offer personal glimpses of Nathanael Greene, George Washington, Wilhelm von Knyphausen, Ethan Allen, Hugh Gaine, German mercenaries, and others. This is the first publication of Adlum's original notebooks. The volume was designed by Greer Allen, composed by R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company at The Lakeside Press, Chicago, and printed at the Acorn Press in Maywood, Illinois.
