He served in posts such as Williams Lake, Fort Saint James. In his travels, he made notes about the countryside and the people, drew up a map and eventually published this book in Toronto in 1904 by William Briggs and in 1906 an expanded British edition of which this is a facsimile. After leaving missionary work he went on to write a number of books on western Canadian & mission history.. Near Fine in Very Good dust jacket .
