Title: The Poems of William Blake, Publisher's Copy
Description: Cambridge, Limited Editions Club, 1973. Hardcover. Quarto (6-1/2" x 10-5/8") bound in quarter black morocco leather and mulberry-color linen boards with the front board embossed with a portrait of Blake, 340 pages. Selected, edited, and introduced by Aileen Ward; designed by John Dreyfus. Illustrated with twelve designs engraved and colored by Blake for the original editions of his poems faithfully reproduced from the originals. Of an edition of 1500 copies printed and bound at the University Printing House, this copy belonged to the publisher of the Club during most of the 1970s, Gordon Carroll, and is lettered "G. C." rather than numbered and bears the Club's blindstamp stating it is one of 15 presentation copies. Issued unsigned. Monthly Letter laid in. Ill.: William Blake. Fine in a Fine slipcase .
