Octavo disbound. 32pp lacks leaf before the titlepage, some foxing and edge-dusting mainly to last 2 leaves. Corners somewhat rounded. There is an advertisment for a William Lilly prophecy on p19. *The supposed verbatim prophecy is in black letter with other items added in the retelling. Includes for instance that "All sorts {of people} will have chimneys in their mouths" which foresaw the cigarette (although pipe smoking has been popular since the 17th century), more seriously he was believed to have described the outcomes of the various battles of the future as well as his own death. There are further prophecies included, some forecasts by the famous William Lilly. The last 12 pages are the "Life of Nixon, [dated] Nantwich Mar.24 1715" This is an additional part not in the two first editions. This edition subscribes to the 17th century story of Nixon`s life, other folk tales have the prophet living in the 15th century. This work claims he foretold the civil wars and the death of Charles I. Of the few COPAC copies several are electronic resources taken from the single British Library copy.
