These volumes begin with St. Etienne, the first Martyr who died in the year 33 AD and continue to about the year 260. They deal with the Saints, the Martyrs, missionary travels to Asia etc and the various heresies and persecutions that occurred during these times. Including not only the lives but also letters and important witnesses. The chronology at the end of the last Part of this Volume covers Pre-Christian times of Emperor Tiberius & Herod to the year 176 and deals with worldwide events summaries including the East, Europe and especially Roman and Greek events as well as Christian.
