A few signs of use but generally clean and tight and text highly readable. *Story of a boy who is doesn't apply himself at school, is sent to a tutor where he again avoids working hard but comes to admire his tutor. During a flood in the nearby town he behaves courageously and saves many mill families and at last his parents have something to be proud of. A story highlighting Victorian values. Not the 1879 edition of the book.
