Spine slightly loose. A neat copy, no torn pages no scribbling etc. *Story of the widow who wishes to teach her three charges that honesty and teaching them to work hard and not aspire to position above her station. Each of the girls gets into different bad habits and the widow has constantly to advise and clarify the young neices conduct inthese situations. Ellis often wrote about the role of christian women in Victorian society. Like Rosetti she argued women had a christian duty to influence society for the better.
