Two Volumes duodecimo pretty blindstamped covers gilt lettered to both covers, spine overall gilt one volume red one olive (red volume has ink spill to part of top edge/tips rubbed, olive volume chipped and bit damaged to head of spine ) 287pp + 298pp One page with 2" tear (no loss) and some foxing and the ink stain affects only the margin of part of the Prose volume but caused some adhesion of neighboring leaves which were then carelessly pulled apart with uneven marginal loss but not affecting print. A charming little set with a gift inscription dated 1844 to each volume at FEP and later explanation "given to my mother by her uncle Theodore de Kerlegand". On each cover a gilt name "A Mariantita de La Teja" and on each lower cover "Su Padrino 1844" also in gilt.
