Two volumes, large quartos [11x9 inches] Full polished leather, red and black spine labels, five raised bands. Gilt seal of the Society of the Writers to the Signet on front and rear covers of each volume. Volume 1: front board detached but present. Spine worn at top and bottom, some chafing to raised bands, labels rubbed. Volume II: Outer front hinge cracked, corners show wear, spine has narrow crack along the full length. Binding sound. Boards to both volumes are fairly bright with scattered small stains and some areas of darkening. [24], 532+ 502 pages. Label and some ink musical notation to front pastedown to both volumes, Text clean, pages supple with some scattered foxing, mostly to prelims and title pages. Bindings tight.
