CAMPBELL, Roy
Toril. To Tristram Hillier. (Manuscript).
Homemade lined notebook of 4 p. in a brown-purple marbled paper. Easily legible written in brown ink (27 lines). One strikethrough, in the title. With signature 'Roy Campbell'. Dialogue between a bull and an ox, before the bullfight. From the collection Mithraic Emblems (1936) by the South African-British poet with his adventurous, not to say pugilistic life. In the printed volume, the dedication to Tristram Hillier (a British surrealist painter, 1905-1983) is missing.
